Do you love candy? Well..that's probably a stupid question. We all love candy! When I was little...my Mom would give my older brother, my younger sister and I all .25 cents and we could walk a couple of blocks away and go to a little store called "Albert's". It was just a little tiny neigborhood store back when those still existed. Well...back then...in the mid-70's, candy was less expensive of course. Albert's had bins and bins of penny candy. We would spend every cent of our quarter!

What did I buy? I bought candy sticks. Now they're called, "old fashioned" candy sticks - but nonetheless...they were my favorites. I'd buy root beer and butterscotch and watermelon....every week, something different. We'd wander home with our little bags of penny candy. It was such a treat.

Now...candy is different. And to be honest.....I don't like much of it. I's rather have a piece of homemade rock candy from the Covered Bridge Festival any day over most of the candy you see at checkout it most stores.

When I'm at the Farmer's Market, I always end up buying some yummy candy sticks. They are still....for many reasons, my favorites.

So...as a little blast from the past (Yes...I'm showing my age! LOL), and a homage to my childhood and all things that were simple and fun when many of us born in 60's grew up - I am giving away a dozen candy sticks each month.

Yep!! All different flavors. Free.
